A Sahrawi family in the Tindouf Camp seeks for help to the international community

PERSISMA – A Sahrawi family established in the Tindouf camps has recently sent a letter to UN Secretary General and his Special Representative in the Sahara, and international organizations of human rights, in which she seeks the protection of UN bodies against abuses by Polisario officials and the opening of an investigation in determining the sponsor of the assassination of one of its members, namely Bechri Sid Ahmed Zein, found burned to death, along with three other individuals in a home near Bir Mougrien.

The family in question who has to his credit numerous confrontations with the Polisario leaders, accusing its security services of masterminding the assassination of Sid Ahmed Zein Bechri who worked on behalf of a Polisario official, known for his trafficking activities of all kinds, before turning its back and join the opposition movement “March 5” with whom he participated in several events in Rabouni.

Similarly, the mother and the aunt of the deceased, and Dadu Ment Zrouk Lalla, have been imprisoned several times because of their dispute with the Polisario officials. Witness the confrontation in 2009 between the aforementioned Lalla Ment Zrouk Addouh and Khatri, president of the parliament, then wali “Smara” who ordered his imprisonment before being forced to release it on the instructions of Mohamed Abdelaziz, following demonstrations organized by members of his family.

It should be noted that this family, from the tribe R’guibat Oulad Moussa plans to observe an open sit-in before the UNHCR headquarters in Rabouni until its demands are met.
