PERSISMA, Bamako – HM King Mohammed VI and His Excellency President of Mali Ibrahim Boubacar Keita chaired, on Sunday in Bamako, the ceremony of naming a boulevard after the sovereign.
On this occasion, the two leaders unveiled the commemorative plaque of the main road which is named after the sovereign.
Named “the Mohammed VI Boulevard”, this road stretches over four kilometers and has a 26-meter width. It is one of the major roads in the capital.
It is located in the commune IV where the sovereign laid, last Friday, the foundation stone for the construction of a modern, integrated perinatal clinic.
Linking the city’s downtown to several neighborhoods including Sebinikoro, Bakojikoroni, and Lafiaboko, this boulevard is part of the national road N5 leading to Guinea.
