HM the King chairs signing of seven agreements on implementation of National Strategy for Development of Logistical Competitiveness in Mohammedia

PERSISMA, Mohammedia – His Majesty King Mohammed VI chaired, Tuesday in Mohammedia, the signing of seven agreements aimed at accelerating the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Logistical Competitiveness.

There are three implementation contracts for the 2014-2020 period on improving the logistical competitiveness of the flow of building materials, imported and exported goods, and domestic distribution, a 2014-2020 implementation contract on the development of training and logistical skills, a framework agreement on the mobilization of public land for the development of the national network of multi-stream logistical zones, an agreement between the State and the General Confederation of Moroccan businesses (CGEM) on the organization and functioning of the Moroccan Observatory of Logistical Competitiveness (OMCL), and a partnership agreement on the development of the northern road connection of the port of Casablanca to Zenata logistics zone.

On this occasion, minister of infrastructure, transport and logistics, Aziz Rebbah presented to HM the King the progress made, the remaining steps, and the main projects planned for the 2014-2020 period, as part of the implementation of this strategy which was launched in April 2010.

The Sovereign also inaugurated the second phase of the logistics platform of Zenata which is developed by the National Company of Transport and Logistics, and which includes 10 warehouses with a covered area of 60,000 m2.

HM the King also visited the various facilities and infrastructure of the logistics platform, developed according to international standards and norms.

The ceremony was attended by the head of Government, the advisors to HM the King, members of the Government, CGEM President and members, representatives of professional associations, representatives of the business community and local authorities, elected officials and several international partners.
