HM the King receives phone call from Palestinian President

PERSISMA, Rabat — Part of the historic relations uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and Palestine, and the regular consultations between HM the King and President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, the Sovereign received on Wednesday a phone call from the Palestinian leader, said a statement by the Royal Cabinet.

During this telephone conversation, President Mahmoud Abbas thanked His Majesty the King for his tireless efforts in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people, as evidenced by a recent meeting in the Kingdom which brought together all the Palestinian factions.

The President of the Palestinian Authority commended this meeting and expressed, on this occasion, hope to hold further Inter-Palestinian dialog meetings under the auspices of His Majesty the King.

The Sovereign, for his part, reiterated the Kingdom’s strong commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and ensuring their well-being, prosperity, and reconciliation.

The Sovereign and President Abbas also hailed the excellent relations that bind the Kingdom and Palestine as well as the holding, in Morocco in the coming weeks, of the meeting of the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty the King.
