Morocco concerned about the suffering of Palestinian people, FM

PERSISMA, New York (United Nations) – Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri expressed, on Friday in New York, before the Alliance of Civilizations Group of Friends Ministerial Meeting, Morocco’s “concern” about the painful daily life of the Palestinian people.

The Minister also stressed the commitment of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, to preserving the identity of the Al Quds Al-Sharif city.

Morocco has encouraged an approach based on partnership between governments, international organizations, civil society and private sector, he added.

Fassi Fihri also commended the adoption of the Action Plan of the Alliance of Civilizations for the Mediterranean, and the action of the Anna Lindh Foundation for its efforts to promote rapprochement between the peoples of the Mediterranean.
