Morocco-Côte d’Ivoire economic impetus group sign in Abidjan 22 agreements of public-private and private-private economic partnership
PERSISMA, Abidjan – Twenty-two agreements of public-private and private-private economic partnership were signed, on Wednesday in Abidjan between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire as part of the 1st session of the Morocco-Côte d’Ivoire economic impetus group.
The agreements were inked under the co-chairmanship of foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar and Ivorian state minister, minister of foreign affairs Charles Diby Koffi.
The accords involve mainly the sectors of banking, security, insurance, education, industry and transportation.
Speaking on the occasion, Mezouar said that these agreements are “mature” and “ready for implementation” at the technical and financial levels.
He added that since the first visit by HM King Mohammed VI to Côte d’Ivoire in March 2013, a committee was set up to elaborate and structure these projects. These projects focus on human development, sharing expertize and know-how and economy, he said.
