Morocco Takes part in EBRD Annual Meeting
PERSISMA, London – Faouzia Zaaboul, Director of Treasury and Foreign Finances, is leading the Moroccan delegation taking part in the 25th annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), scheduled May 10-12 in London.
On the sidelines of this meeting, Zaaboul held bilateral meetings with Phil Bennet, EBRD vice-president, as well as with the French, Spanish and Tunisian delegations.
During these meetings, Zaaboul recalled Morocco’s progress in terms of economic and social reforms, particularly regarding the restoring of macro-economic balances, the modernization of the financial sector and the diversification of sources of growth.
EBRD should step up its action to strengthen the private sector’s role through providing innovative financing and partnership mechanisms, she added.
Zaaboul also called for fostering the representation of countries southern and eastern of the Mediterranean at the level of EBRD governance bodies and operational teams.
