AU President Lauds HM the King’s Pan-African Commitment

PERSISMA, Abidjan – President of the Republic of Guinea, president of the AU heads of states and governments conference, Alpha Condé lauded, on Wednesday in Abidjan, the participation of HM King Mohammed VI in the 5th AU-EU Summit, hailing the sovereign’s pan-African commitment.

We commend and are glad of the presence” of HM King Mohammed VI which shows the sovereign’s pan-African commitment and his faith in Africa’s dignity and unity, said Condé during the opening ceremony of the 5th African Union-European Union Summit.

This comes as no surprise given the role played by Morocco, under the leadership of late HM Mohammed V, in the inception of the Organization of African Unity, he added.
