PERSISMA, Rabat (12-02-2013) – Barbados, Caribbean countries, has decided to freeze its recognition of the pseudo SADR, announcement, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. After being informed of developments in the Sahara by a multisectoral delegation, dispatched to the region in accordance with Instructions Very High HM King Mohammed VI, Barbados has decided to freeze its recognition of the SADR, pending the outcome of the process negotiations, launched in 2007, thanks to the presentation by Morocco’s autonomy initiative, said the source.

In a joint statement issued after the visit of the Moroccan delegation multisectoral, Barbados thanked the Moroccan delegation has informed the latest developments of the Sahara issue, said the ministry. The joint communiqué signed on the side of the Barbados Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ms Maxine McClean, further underlines the willingness of both sides to deepen their political dialogue and strengthen bilateral cooperation in economic and technical fields, in partnership south south.

Barbados is the 6th country in the Caribbean region to break over the last two years, diplomatic relations with the puppet entity.
