HM King Mohammed VI Holds Talks with King of Bahrain

PERSISMA, Sakhir (Southern Governorate of Bahrain) – HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, held, on Monday in the “Sakhir” palace (Southern Governorate of Bahrain), talks with HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who was accompanied by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Bahraini Armed Forces, First Deputy Prime Minister.

After the talks, the two sovereigns chaired the signing ceremony of three bilateral cooperation agreements.

The first agreement is a protocol amending the agreement of non-double taxation and the fight against tax evasion (income tax), signed on April 7, 2000. It was signed by Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid and Bahraini Minister of Finance, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.

The second agreement is an implementation program of the cooperation agreement in the field of Endowments and Islamic Affairs 2016-2017-2018. It was signed by Ahmed Toufiq, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and Sheikh Khalid bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahraini Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

The third agreement is a cooperation protocol between the Higher Institute of the Judiciary of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was signed by Mustapha Ramid, Minister of Justice and Liberties, and Sheikh Khalid bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

On this occasion, HM King Mohammed VI was greeted by Ahmad bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Bahrain’s parliament speaker, Ali Bensalah Assaleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Deputy-Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Minister of Royal Cabinet, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of Defense Forces, Jawad bin Salem Al Arrayedh, Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, their Highnesses sheikhs and members of the royal family.

The king of Bahrain was then greeted by members of the official delegation accompanying HM the King, composed notably by the Sovereign’s Advisers, Taieb Fassi Fihri, Fouad Ali El Himma, Yassir Znagui and Abdeltif Menouni, Minister of Justice and Freedoms, Mustapha Ramid, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid and Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.

Thereafter, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa hosted an official dinner in honor of HM King Mohammed VI and His accompanying delegation.
