HM the King Hands Donation of Medical Equipment to Juba Hospital
PERSISMA, Juba HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, handed, on Thursday in Juba, a donation of medical equipment to the hospital of the South Sudanese capital, Juba.
This initiative is part of the social and humanitarian dimension of the active, multifaceted and dense cooperation linking Morocco and several African countries.
The donation offered by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sustainable Development includes equipment for an ophthalmic unit and for a maternity ward in Juba hospital. The latter includes 4 incubators, 3 heating tables, 2 ventilation machines, 3 phototherapy machines and several birthing and resuscitation kit for newborns.
Concerning the ophthalmic unit, the donation consists mainly of a surgical microscope for ophthalmological operations, a tonometer, and 2 ophthalmoscopes.
On this occasion, the Directorate of Juba hospital offered HM the King a present in the form of a traditional South Sudanese habit.
Upon their arrival at Juba hospital, HM the King and the President of South Sudan were greeted by the South Sudanese minister of Health, members of the Government, the director of the hospital, as well as by the deputy chairman and the volunteer members of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sustainable Development.
