HM the King holds phone conversation with King Juan Carlos I and HRH Prince Felipe, Prince of Asturias

PERSISMA, Rabat – HM King Mohammed VI held, on Monday, a phone conversation with HM King Juan Carlos I of Spain and HRH Prince Felipe, Prince of Asturias, said a statement by the Royal Office.

HM the King recalled that the Spanish Royal family has always been close to the Moroccan Royal family, it said.

During this phone conversation, HM the King paid a heartfelt tribute to King Juan Carlos I for his crucial role in the political and democratic transition and in favor of the establishment of the values of freedom and peace during his reign, it added.

The sovereign has, afterwards, extended his congratulations and wishes of success to Prince Felipe on the occasion of the abdication decision in his favor, the same source said.
