HM the King, Ivorian President Perform Friday Prayer at Grande Mosquée Riviera Golf in Abidjan
PERSISMA, Abidjan – HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, accompanied by HH Prince Moulay Ismail, and President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Dramane Ouattara, performed the Friday prayer at Grande Mosquée Riviera Golf in Abidjan.
After the prayer, HM the King donated 10,000 copies of the Holy Quran, 8,000 of which were translated into the French language, to the Ivorian mosques. The copies were handed to president of Côte d’Ivoire’s Supreme Council of Imams, Aboubacar Fofana.
Afterwards, the Sovereign was greeted by the Ivorian Imams, first graduates of the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Morchidines, and Morchidates (99 Imams), who expressed on this occasion their gratitude to HM the King.
