Inter-Libyan Dialogue: UN Chief thanks Morocco for important support

PERSISMA – UNSG Ban Ki-moon thanked Morocco for its important support in the inter-Libyan dialogue conducted under the UN aegis, as well as for Morocco’s close cooperation with his special representative for Libya Bernardino Leon, said on Saturday a statement by the UN Spokesperson’s Office.

During a meeting with Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane, on the sidelines of the 26th Arab Summit which is being held in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, Ban thanked Morocco for its important support for the UN mediation process in Libya and for its close cooperation with UNSG special representative for Libya Bernardino Leon, the statement said.

The talks touched also on the Moroccan Sahara issue, Benkirane had told MAP following the meeting with Ban.
