PERSISMA, Rabat – Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Abdelkader Amara, held on Friday talks with his Jordanian counterpart Mostafa Ibrahim Hassan Saif which focused on the means to boost bilateral cooperation in energy.
These talks were an opportunity to exchange views on developments in this area, particularly regarding renewable energy, the modernization of the energy sector and the energy security of both countries, the Jordanian minister told the press.

Discussions also focused on the means to promote consultations and the exchange of expertise between the companies and the private sector of both countries in order to boost bilateral cooperation.
For his part, Amara noted the similarities between the experiences of the two countries in the energy sector, adding that Morocco is willing to share its experience in this area with Jordan.
These talks were held in the wake of the 5th High Moroccan-Jordanian joint committee to be held this Friday in Rabat under the chairmanship of Head of Government Abdelilah Benkirane and Jordan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.
Several cooperation agreements will be signed on this occasion, particularly in the fields of economy, education, justice, agriculture and fisheries.
