Sahara: Morocco is open to negotiations but refuses to make more concessions (royal speech)
PERSISMA, Rabat – Morocco, which is committed, in all sincerity and good faith in the negotiations to find a final solution to the artificial dispute over its Sahara, can not make more concessions and will never accept that its sovereignty is taken hostage of ideological views and stereotypical orientations of some international officials, said King Mohammed VI.
The Sovereign said Thursday in a speech to the nation on the occasion of 39 th anniversary of the Green March, the Autonomy Initiative is the maximum that Morocco can offer in the context of the negotiation for find a final solution to this regional conflict.
The choice of the Kingdom to open the door to negotiation was wearing and shall not in any way affect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, has insisted HM the King, who insisted that the sovereignty of Morocco on throughout its territory is immutable, inalienable and non-negotiable.
Also, the choice made by Morocco to cooperate with all parties, in all sincerity and good faith should not be interpreted as a weakness or a pretext to demand more concessions, said His Majesty the King.
In this context, the Sovereign, as guarantor of the independence and territorial integrity of the Kingdom, firmly rejected mystifications and blunders that knows the Sahara issue, saying clearly not the attempt to change the nature of this regional conflict by presenting it as a matter of decolonization, not any attempt to review the principles and trading parameters, and any other attempt to reconsider or extend the mandate of MINURSO, including the question observation of human rights, not vis-à-vis convenience the real party to the conflict and its exemption from responsibility not to attempt to put on the same footing a member state in United Nations and a separatist movement, not to legitimize the state of lawlessness that prevails in Tindouf.
