PERU-MOROCCO-SAHARA: Peru-Morocco parliamentary friendship group affirms support for Morocco’s territorial integrity

PERSISMA, Lima, Apr 28, 2013 – President of the Morocco-Peru friendship group at the Peruvian congress Rolando Reategui Flores sent a letter to Rwanda’s permanent representative to the UN Eugène-Richard Gasana, whose country assumes the UNSC rotating presidency for April, in which he expressed his country’s support for the Kingdom’s territorial integrity.

In his letter, Reategui Flores highlighted the diplomatic, cultural and historical relations linking his country to Morocco.

The Peruvian official also lauded the major reforms undertaken by the Kingdom and which are recognized and supported internationally.

He noted that the 21-strong parliamentary group is meant to contribute to strengthening the ties of cooperation with the Moroccan friendly people.
