Emir of Qatar Offers Official Welcome Ceremony in Honor of King Mohammed VI
PERSISMA, Doha – Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani offered, Thursday in the “Diwan Emiri” in Doha, an official welcome ceremony in honor of King Mohammed VI, who is on a fraternity and working visit to this brotherly country, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid.
Upon his arrival at the “Diwan Emiri”, the King, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, headed for the VIP stand to salute the flags while the national anthems of both countries were playing, before reviewing a detachment of the Guard of Honor.
Thereafter, the Sovereign was greeted by the Qatari official delegation. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was greeted by the official delegation accompanying King Mohammed VI during this visit.
This delegation is composed notably of the King’s advisors Taieb Fassi Fihri, Fouad Ali El Himma, Yassir Zenagui and Abdeltif Menouni, Chargé de mission at the Royal Office Mohamed Kettani and Foreign Minister Salaheddine Mezouar.
Before the “Diwan Emiri”, many Moroccans living in Qatar reserved a warm welcome to HM the King who greeted them, reflecting the kindness with which the Sovereign surrounds the Moroccan community living abroad.
King Mohammed VI arrived Thursday afternoon in Doha, as part of a tour he is carrying out in several countries of the region.
