Govt. of Barbados Decides to Withdraw Recognition of Fake SADR
PERSISMA, Rabat – The Government of Barbados, which froze its recognition of the fake “SADR” in 2013, decided this Friday to withdraw its recognition of this entity.
The Government of Barbados will continue actions already undertaken by more than 162 countries around the world, said a joint statement issued after the visit by Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Mottley to Morocco.
The Government of Barbados calls on all parties to continue, in good faith, the negotiations with a view to maintaining the momentum initiated by the autonomy plan, which is credible, serious and realistic, and to promoting a political solution based on realism and in the spirit of compromise, within the framework of Morocco’s territorial integrity and in accordance with the UN Security Council, said the statement.
In this regard, the Government of Barbados acknowledges the commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco to the political process and its full cooperation with the UN Secretary General and his Personal Envoy in order to reach a final and mutually accepted political solution, it added.
