HM King Mohammed VI Arrives in Manama
PERSISMA, Manama – HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, arrived, Monday afternoon in Manama, on a fraternity and working visit to the kingdom of Bahrain.
Upon His arrival at the Bahrain International Airport, HM King Mohammed VI was welcomed by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, king of Bahrain.
HM King Mohammed VI was subsequently greeted by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Bahraini Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Bahraini Armed Forces, First Deputy Prime Minister.
HM the King was also greeted by Sheikh Khalid bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance, and Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education.
he Sovereign was also greeted by Mr. Salman bin Isa bin Hindi, governor of the region of Al Muharraq, Colonel Maher Ahmed Bouali, General Manager of the General Directorate of Manama Security, Morocco’s Ambassador in Bahrain, Ahmed Rachid Khattabi and staff of the Moroccan embassy in Manama.
HM the King and the Bahraini Sovereign subsequently reviewed a guard of honor.
After a short break in the royal ballroom in the Bahrain International Airport, the royal procession headed to the “Sakhir” Palace in the southern governorate of Bahrain where an official welcome is reserved to the Sovereign.
All major avenues of the Bahraini capital and the southern governorate were decked, on this happy occasion, with Moroccan and Bahraini flags and the portraits of HM King Mohammed VI and HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, a sign of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly kingdoms.
