HM King Mohammed VI Lays Foundation Stone Of Mohammed VI University For Health Sciences In Casablanca

PERSISMA, Casablanca, Jan 05, 2015 – HM King Mohammed VI on Monday laid the foundation stone of the Mohammed VI University for Health Sciences in the district of Hay Hassani in Casablanca.

The 465-million-dirham university will provide a platform for practical training and student development, and a hub for medical research between Europe and Africa.

The Mohammed VI University for Health Sciences, the first multidisciplinary educational structure of its kind in the Kingdom, comprises four training institutions: a medical school, a graduate school of public health and management of health systems, a school of nursing and health techniques and a graduate school of biomedical engineering.

The future university will be completed within 21 months on an area of 31,000 square meters. It will house a set of structures and dependencies, notably university campuses and centers of research, simulation and congress.

Under the supervision of the ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training, the university will operate in partnership with the Ministry of Health.
