HM the King launches Azilal two projects initiated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity
Centers capacity building of women and young people to promote their integration into the local socio-economic fabric
PERSISMA – His Majesty King Mohammed VI has made Saturday in the province of Azilal at the opening of a center for skills development of young people and the laying of the first stone of a building center of women’s skills, two projects that come to consolidate the Royal approach to promoting conditions of youth and women. Made by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity for a total investment of 7.8 million dirhams, these projects reflect the commitment of the Sovereign to be responsive to the legitimate expectations of the people, as they illustrate the priority given by the Foundation to the woman and youth as dynamic actors in society.
Development Centre youth skills is part of the continuity of the program developed by the Foundation for providing a better socio-economic and labor to this sector of society integration. It will promote the participation of beneficiaries in social life through the promotion of cultural, sporting and educational, while providing skills training in income-generating businesses.
A partnership between the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and the Office of Vocational Training and Labour Promotion (OFPPT), the new structure created on a plot of 2,500 m², includes workshops dressmaking, salon, plastic art, as well as literacy, computer science, foreign language teaching and tutoring rooms. This project (4.3 million dirhams), which also includes a multipurpose room, a library, a lobby and a sports field will be managed by the Association for Azilal support for youth activities, in partnership with the OFPPT ensure that educational support. Central capacity building of women, whose work has been launched today by the Sovereign, will enable beneficiaries in precarious situations to consolidate their skills and promote their socio-economic conditions, particularly through literacy classes and learning local crafts employment and income generators. He will also take care of preschool children of women beneficiaries.
Covering an area of 700 m², the future center (3.5 MDH) will host workshops culinary arts, pastry, dressmaking, classrooms, literacy tutoring, computer, to promote local products, sales and product exposure, in addition to a nursery (small, medium and large section), a playground for children, a media room and an associative space.
On this occasion, HM the King gave athletes worth 100,000 dirhams in favor of five sports associations in the region amenities. The action of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in the province of Azilal dictated by the priorities from the tasks assigned to it by His Majesty the King, is the regional version preferred by the Foundation ways to support and promote the inclusion of women and youth in particular in local development dynamics.
