The Mali confirms the presence of Polisario fighters in the ranks of the North djhadistes
PERSISMA – Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tieman Coulibaly, confirmed the presence among terrorist groups hunted in northern Mali, fighters from the ranks of the Polisario.
“They were only 500 dijihadistes departure. Nowadays, they are between 5,500 and 7,000 men. These jihadi groups were joined by young people without prospects including young Sahrawi camps” under the control of Tindouf Polisario south of Algeria, he said in an interview published Tuesday by the French news website Atlasinfo.
Faced with this terrorist threat, Mr. Coulibaly thanked Morocco for its support to Mali, including humanitarian, diplomatic and military cooperation, recalling that the 2085 resolution to allow his country to regain its territorial integrity was passed under the chairmanship Moroccan Security Council of the UN.
“Morocco has always supported and continues to support the Mali and its territorial integrity. We rely heavily on the support and cooperation with Morocco to overcome the terrorist threat,” he said.
Similarly, he added, “we rely on the help and support of Morocco is a country brother with whom we have historical relations” and “was the first country which we have received humanitarian aid, sending several freighters.”
“Today, despite our very difficult situation, Morocco has not changed its cooperation with Mali. Continues to receive students. He has given us twice more scholarships for our students than in previous years and continued welcome to our officers in its schools and military academies,” it is bliss.
