Tanzanian President Commends HM the King’s Leadership in Promoting Peace, Stability and Development in Africa (Joint Statement)
PERSISMA, Dar es Salaam (01/11/2016) – Tanzanian President, John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, praised the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI in promoting peace, stability and development in Africa, stressing that South-South cooperation advocated by the Sovereign is “at the heart of development cooperation in the continent.”
“President Magufuli commended the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI and praised his role in promoting peace, stability and development in Africa. He recognized the fact that South-South cooperation advocated by HM King Mohammed VI – based on pragmatism, efficiency and public-private partnership – is at the heart of development cooperation in Africa,” said the joint statement issued after the official visit paid by HM the King to the United Republic of Tanzania on October 23-25.
The Tanzanian Head of State also paid tribute to Morocco’s pioneering role in promoting economic growth and sustainable development within various international forums, welcoming the decision of Morocco to host the COP 22, to be held on November 7-18 in Marrakech.
