Guinea-Bissau Reiterates Support for Morocco’s Territorial Integrity
PERSISMA, Rabat – The Republic of Guinea-Bissau reiterates its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and for its autonomy proposal in the Western Sahara, said, on Friday in Rabat, Guinea-Bissau’s minister of foreign affairs, international cooperation and communities Artur Silva.
“We are on Morocco’s side in its international efforts and we support it concerning its territorial integrity,” he said at a joint press briefing with minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida after their talks.
This working and friendship visit is meant to review agreements signed last year during the visit by King Mohammed VI in Guinea-Bissau and prepare for the upcoming Morocco-Guinea-Bissau joint committee scheduled in May in Bissau, he said.
The two parties also discussed fields of bilateral cooperation. In this regard, Silva thanked the Moroccan government for vocational training offered to Guinea-Bissau’s executives.
