PERSISMA, Kigali – President of the Republic of Rwanda H.E. Paul Kagamé offered, on Wednesday in Kigali, an official luncheon in honor of HM King Mohammed VI and the delegation accompanying the sovereign.

At the beginning of this luncheon, Rwandan foreign minister Louise Mushikiwabo gave a welcome speech, underlining the excellent relations between Kigali and Rabat.

Since the arrival of HM the King in Kigali, a sense of joy prevailed, she said, noting that Rwanda is honored to host the sovereign who is paying his first to the country.

Relations between Morocco and Rwanda are entering a new phase of sincere partnership in Africa, which is taking its place within the Concert of Nations, she added, stressing that, through the reinforcement of their cooperation relations, Morocco and Rwanda are contributing to “re-defining our continent”.

Rwanda and Morocco are two ambitious countries placing the human element at the heart of public policies, Louise Mushikiwabo said, adding that, despite the distance separating them, the two countries are meant to move forwards, along with “our African brothers”.

The event was attended by members of the Rwandan government, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Kigali, members of the Moroccan and Rwandan economic community and several high-ranking figures.
